ShokShak™ app for iPhone and iPad

Capture your friends surprise-reaction to your pics/clips on video, 1-on-1 or in groups. “Dress’em up!” with a funny REVERSE filter, they’ll wear while surprise-reacting!

Terminology time! “Shoki” - any pic/clip you send to a friend for their surprise reaction. Can be uploaded from your phone or use the app’s camera.


* Dress’em Up!

-Choose a funny surprise filter for your friends to wear while surprise-reacting to your Shoki. We call them “reverse filters”.

-Turn it up a notch? You can also make the reverse filter invisible! As far as they know, the only surprise is the content you sent them! They won’t see the filter in their view finder while reacting, only when replaying the reaction video.


* 1-on-1:

-Send a Shoki to one or more friends separately for their surprise-reaction. Have a blast comparing reaction videos to the same Shoki!

-No ShokShak friends yet? No problem! Create your Shoki and use the sharing link. Once your friends click on the link, they will be taken to the app store. After downloading ShokShak, they will be taken directly to your Shoki to surprise-react.

-Only once! 1-on-1 surprise-reaction videos can only be watched once. If you want to watch it again you need to request permission from your friend.


* Group fun! Host a “react-to-watch” room for a group of friends

-Create a room, invite friends and post a Shoki. Everyone has to react in order to watch other room members’ surprise-reaction videos!

-Open a group chat while setting up your room: only friends who accept your room invite will have access to the room’s group chat. Have a blast chatting about everyone’s reaction videos!


* Editor

-Intro: add suspense to your Shoki with a text intro. While reacting, your friends will first see the intro and then your Shoki.

-Surprise-reaction length: set how much time your friends have to react to your Shoki. Can be from 3-30 seconds.

-Voice-over: add a voice-over to your pics for an extra dimension of fun!

-Draw on video: express yourself by drawing on your video Shoki, live or while in editor mode.


* Albums

-Create amazing albums with truly authentic memories!

-Once you get approval from your friends to watch their surprise-reaction video again, you can store them in your albums.

-Privacy: set who can access your albums.


* ShokiChat

-ShokShak with your friends while chatting. Send/receive Shoks and surprise-reactions in-chat.
